Submarines traversing under the North Pole ice cap, combined with satellite photos give data to predict that the North Pole ice caps will be completely gone in as little as 4 - 5 years. This puts enormous pressure on Greenland.

Business as usual people will say...

"Don't worry, it will take a long time before the ice will melt, the ice is 3 - 4 km thick"

But what is happening is, as the ice is melting it is forming lakes and pools of water on top of the ice. Then it spills over into cracks going under the ice and BINGO, the whole ice mountain slides into the ocean like a slippery cube of ice. In Greenland, most of the ice is on land. It is estimated that Greenland's ice will make sea levels rise world wide by approximately 7 - 8 metres.

The Antartica is not as badly affected yet, but some disturbing signs like colossal chunks, the size of small countries, are doing the slippery ice-cube trick. The ice in Antartica is also mostly on land and if that slips into the sea, the levels world wide could rise, combined with Greenland to a total of 27 metres.

Most cities in the world are located along the coast, as shipping was the common mode of transport in the olden days. Can anyone imagine most of our cities underwater? A tsunami of climate refugees? And if you think that is BAD, just consider the effect of the polar ice caps gone.

They are the motors driving our ocean currents and winds. In fact OUR CLIMATE! The temperature differences between the equator and the poles are NATURES AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM.

Switch that off and our planet will burn up, the permafrost will put so much co2 into the atmosphere combined with firestorms raging, then the temperatures will become like Venus... 450 degrees centigrade. Oceans will boil and evaporate.

Biblical prophesis speaks of "winds will stop, oceans will be no more, the world will be destroyed by fire, elements melt with fervent heat". "Blind Freddy" can see we should stop burning so much fossil fuel and plant trees. Or we will end up like Venus, with perfect greenhouse conditions and not fit for life.
